I’m a PhD Candidate in US History, with broad interests in Latina/o, borderlands, labor, and political history in the 20th century United States. My dissertation – “Givin’ Up Our Beer for Sweeter Wine”: The Boycott of Coors Beer, Interracial Coalition-Building, and the Making of Business Conservatism, 1957-1987 – examines the building of a diverse coalition around the Coors boycott and its implications for labor, business, and social movements in the late 20th century. Stephen Pitti, Jennifer Klein, and John Faragher are members of my dissertation committee.

Originally from Boulder, Colorado, I received my undergraduate degree in 2009 from the University of Notre Dame. After graduating, I completed a year of volunteer work in El Paso, Texas, working with middle and high school students. Here at Yale, I also serve as a graduate fellow with Dwight Hall at Yale. In the spring of 2015, I will be teaching an undergraduate seminar on Beer in American History as a Part-Time Acting Instructor.
