Announcement: Modern Middle East search, review of applications begins September 15, 2013

The Yale University Department of History intends to make a tenure-track assistant professor appointment, to begin July 1, 2014, focusing on modern Middle East history. Applications are invited from historians with strong potential for achievement in scholarship, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and intellectual leadership. We welcome applications from historians already holding teaching positions, as well as from recent PhDs and those who expect their PhD by the time of appointment. The Yale University Departments of Classics and History intend to make a senior tenured appointment in Roman History, beginning July 1, 2014. Preference will be given to historians whose scholarship focuses on subjects in the Roman empire.
