Gil Joseph elected next President of the Latin American Studies Association

It is with great pleasure that we report that our colleague Gilbert Joseph has been elected the next President of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA). This is a well-deserved recognition of Gil’s status in his own field of History but also of his ability to cross disciplines, methodologies, national boundaries, and theoretical differences.
