Mary Lui honored with Graduate Mentor Award

Mary Lui, professor of History and professor and DGS of American Studies was honored with The Graduate Mentor Award in the Humanities at a ceremony on May 18th. 

The Graduate Mentor Award recognizes faculty members who have been exceptional in their support of the professional, scholarly, and personal development of their students. It is the University’s principal award for superb teaching, advising and mentoring of graduate students.

History majors honored for outstanding senior essays

Along with family, friends, faculty and staff the History Department held its annual Senior Essay Prize ceremony on Friday, May 16th.  Below is a list of all of our worthy nominees and prize winners by geographic field.  We would like to congratulate all of our talented senior history majors on a job well done.

Jean-Christophe Agnew has been selected to receive the 2014 Sidonie Miskimin Clauss '75 Prize for Teaching Excellence in the Humanities

Six members of the faculty were honored with awards for outstanding undergraduate teaching at a campus ceremony on April 29, including American Studies and History professor, Jean-Christophe Agnew.

The teachers were nominated by their students for the awards, which were presented by Yale College Dean Mary Miller. The Teaching, Learning, and Advising Committee selected the winners from among the nominees.
