How are teaching positions assigned?
 
Before each term, priority (teaching year) and other eligible students submit a TF application to the graduate registrar, which includes a ranked list of courses for which they would like to teach.

Join current 2019 National Book Awards Longlister Greg Grandin (The End of the Myth, Nonfiction) and Finalist Carmen Giménez Smith (Be Recorder, Poetry) for a conversation on borders, both physical and figurative, in shaping identity, history, and literature. Moderated by John Jairo Lugo, Co-Founder and Community Organizing Director of Unidad Latina en Acción - ULA in New Haven.

This event is presented in partnership with the New Haven Free Public Library and will be followed by a reception and celebration of NHFPL’s National Medal for Museum and Library Service.

The prospectus is an overview of your vision for your dissertation: its major claims and contributions, and how you will complete the research and writing.

Argument: What are the main arguments that you plan to make? Why are you writing this particular dissertation?
