The Oral History Travel Fellowship is available for actively registered undergraduate and graduate students in History and provides financial support to conduct oral interviews for seminar papers or dissertation topics. The awards will be up to $300 and may be used for travel and lodging. Original receipts are necessary for reimbursement; no meals are covered.
You should apply for the fellowship at least one month before you plan to conduct oral interviews. Late applications will not be accepted. Please be as specific as possible with your proposals, and include information about the larger project, the purpose of the interview, name of interviewees, and dates of scheduled interviews when possible. Once you have completed your interviews, submit receipts within one week. The fellowship is limited to one award per student per academic year and cannot exceed more than two awards total.
