Research interests:

I am a sixth-year student in the combined program in classics and history. I graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations and Classical Studies from Rice University in 2015. I wrote my senior thesis on “Strength through Piety: A Historical, Epigraphic, and Numismatic Analysis of Theodosius II’s Self-Presentation (402-450 A.D.).”
My research interests include ancient history, intellectual history, early American history, and classical reception studies. My current work focuses on the influence of classical and early modern literature on Thomas Jefferson’s political, social, and cultural thought.
