Bio:
I am a PhD candidate in Japanese history, focusing on the social and environmental history of the Tokugawa period.
After completing my undergraduate work at Yale in 2011, I received a master’s in Regional Studies–East Asia at Harvard University. I then spent a year at the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies in Yokohama through a Blakemore Freeman Fellowship before returning to New Haven.
At Yale, I am a Pierson College Graduate Affiliate and a writing tutor at the Yale College Writing Center.
