Bio:
Lidia is a third-year Ph.D. student who specializes in material culture and the late eighteenth-century British Empire. She is particularly interested in the connection between empire and industrialization. Her other research interests include political economy, the Age of Revolutions, and Atlantic history.
Lidia is from Austin, Texas where she earned a B.A. in history and anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating, she worked part-time for a clean energy non-profit while perusing an interest in art conservation. She volunteered and interned for several museums and archives such as the Harry Ransom Center and the Maryland Historical Society working on textile and paper conservation.
