Richard Zhang

I was born in Singapore and grew up in New York. After high school, I entered a combined BS/MD program, finishing my undergrad at Penn State, and my first three years of medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College. I am taking time off from medical school to pursue my passion in the humanities at Yale.

 

My interests include the history of pharmacology, historical understandings of psychiatry outside the modern West, and culture’s impact on health. I am also interested in using novel media to convey history, such as through visual art. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and going to the gym.
